It's not common knowledge that dancers who perform at Open Dance hosted by Janice Wing receive a sketch of themselves performing. For the first 4 years of Open Dance, the dancers were not compensated for their time and effort. Ms Wing wanted to show these lovely ladies how much she appreciated them. So she started sketching them on the back of the introduction cards. These are a few of the sketches.

These are by no means all of the sketches. Ms Wing only asked a few of the past dancers to scan their sketches and send them to her. As more get scanned and sent to her, they will be posted here.

Eleni:
Not only is she elegant, Eleni is an accomplished artist who has had several showings of her art in various cafes throughout the Seattle area.

Kasima:
This amazing dancer performed 4 times in 2003. Currently she can be found teaching at Civetta Studios in N. Seattle. She is an avid juggler and a member of the dance troupe Fuzzy Monkeys.
